  • Well, here we are. May 1. Okay, it is May 2 today, but let’s pretend it is May 1.
I’m married. Which is awesome. It is just like before we were married. Which was awesome.
"How is married life?" - everyone
"The same as not married life!" - me
*blink blink* - everyone
What can I say? My now husband is still as wonderful and understanding and supporting and loving as he was before we said our vows. We already lived together and we already have a dog.
Once our marriage license arrives from the State I’ll be able to legally change my name and then we’ll be done with this chapter of our lives! I loved planning our wedding and I loved the wedding more than any day of my life thus far, but 11 months dedicated to a one day event is pretty intense.
I am happy to officially hang my wedding planner hat and proudly start sporting my wife hat. Just as soon as I finish the Thank You cards…
(P.S. The secret to being a good wife is making coffee in the morning and planning dinner. Whether I cook, Brian cooks, or we order in - the last thing anyone wants to think about it dinner. I’ve noticed it helps when I plan it for us, or at least contribute some solid suggestions.)
A lot of people have been asking us about babies and when we’ll start making some. Here’s what I have to say about that:
Two of my best friends are pregnant. One is just about to pop and the other is in her second trimester. I am going to let them go through this, get a full report from each of them, compare notes, and then determine when I’ll be able to give up another 9 months of my life slash the next 18 years slash forever. (Read: Just spent 11 months planning a wedding.)
Per the photo above, which I took of Irving Place yesterday, Spring is starting to, um, spring, in the city. Finally.
I’m hoping the warm weather will bring with it a renewed sense of focus and drive. So that I can keep thinking of dinner ideas.

Be decisive about the movie you want to see. Order the first thing on the menu that appeals to you. Wear underwear that makes you feel beautiful and good. Organize your room. Spend a night in on a weekend, doing decadent spa things. Buy a plant and take care of it. Tell somebody no. Respond to…
